Businesses are beautiful.

Leo and Fred met years ago and agreed on that. Sometimes it is just hard to see.

Who we are

Why we do this

The beauty we look for in a business:

  • A product or service that solves its customers’ problem in a way nobody else can.

  • Jobs with purpose and dignity.

  • A force for good for the people around it.

  • Returns for the people who invest in it.

Teiken exists to uncover and amplify that beauty.

The South African story can be one of the most beautiful ever written. We work with people who also believe it is a privilege to help write it.

What we believe in

Before anything, we believe in win-win deals with people we trust, respect and admire.

Values come first

We put the paperwork in place, but what matters most is the trust between partners.

Open

We will discuss anything, and we show our working.

Simple

No jargon, no complex legal terms, only plain speaking. Business is complicated enough, so we keep the deal simple and put our energy into what matters.

Done well

We do things well — even the small things, even the things nobody will see.

What we look for

  • Owners we trust, respect and admire.

  • A business that solves its customers’ problems in a way of its own, in an industry that lasts.

How we do it

We’ve seen what it looks like on the inside, and we’ve seen how it can be done better.
